OUR SOAPMAKER
Laurie Mitchell, soapmaker and owner of Wyoming HorseGirl Soap Company, became fascinated with soapmaking years ago while discussing the subject with a friend. Soon after, she began learning how to make Handmade Artisan soaps.
The first time she used one of her own soap creations was the first time she had tried handmade soap! She couldn't believe the difference handmade artisan soap felt on her skin compared to the drying effects of store-bought soap. The more she experimented with different oils and butters and saw how each contributed unique benefits to the final product, the more interested she became in making her own skin-loving recipes. She uses the finest oils, butters, and clays in her handmade-from-scratch soaps and aromatic essential oils for scenting.
She loves Wyoming and decided to mold Western soaps to reflect her love of the West -- great soap gifts for any occasion. She's a cowgirl-at-heart and enjoys riding her Tennessee Walking Horse, Sugarfoot, when she's away from soapmaking.
